PROS

  1. Retro Appeal: Features the classic "Standard" look with 4-into-4 exhausts.
  2. Smooth Inline-4: The DOHC engine is very refined with a wide powerband.
  3. Reliability: Built with a transistorized ignition; no points to maintain.
  4. Ergonomics: Upright seating and a large seat make it great for touring.

CONS

  1. Rear Drum Brake: Lacks the stopping power of its "F" model counterpart.
  2. Old-School Handling: Wire-spoke wheels and a soft frame can feel "wavy" in corners.
  3. Heavy Weight: At 256 kg (564 lbs) wet, it is very difficult to maneuver manually.
  4. Cold Blood: The Keihin carbs often require a long warm-up time to run smoothly.
