PROS

  1. Powerful DOHC: 16-valve head provides much better top-end speed.
  2. Smooth Ride: Revised rubber engine mounts reduce high-frequency vibration.
  3. Classic Style: Maintains the traditional 4-into-4 exhaust and wire wheels.
  4. Electronic Ignition: Factory electronic ignition means no more points to adjust.

CONS

  1. Charging System: Rotors and stators are notorious for failing on this model.
  2. Valve Shims: Adjusting valves is complex and requires specialized shims.
  3. Rear Drum: Still utilizes an old-school drum brake on the rear wheel.
  4. Bulk: One of the heaviest iterations of the 750 series.
