PROS

  1. Fireblade Engine: Uses the legendary 918cc engine from the '98 Fireblade, retuned for massive midrange.
  2. Lightweight: At 194kg (dry), it is exceptionally light and flickable for a 900cc naked bike.
  3. Minimalist Design: Clean, understated look with distinctive high-mount dual exhausts.
  4. Honda Reliability: Simple, over-engineered mechanicals that can easily surpass 100k miles.

CONS

  1. Budget Suspension: Non-adjustable front forks are undersprung and "divey" during hard braking.
  2. Exhaust Stink: The high-mount pipes cause a "venturi effect" that leaves riders smelling like exhaust fumes.
  3. Wind Blast: Completely naked with zero protection; highway speeds become tiring very quickly.
  4. Snatchy Fueling: Early fuel injection mapping can feel jerky or "on/off" at low speeds.
