PROS
- Predictable Power: Features a 599cc inline-four derived from the Hornet but retuned for a much broader, smoother midrange—ideal for new riders.
- Effective Fairing: The "S" model's half-fairing and 2-position adjustable windscreen offer solid wind protection for highway commuting.
- The "Just Fit" Ergonomics: Highly customizable with a 3-position seat (770mm–800mm) and adjustable handlebar mounts to fit a wide range of body types.
- Low Maintenance Workhorse: Known for exceptional reliability; the engine can easily surpass 100,000 km with basic oil changes and valve checks.
CONS
- Carbureted System: Requires a manual choke for cold starts and can be finicky if the bike is left sitting for long periods without use.
-
- Vibration at Revs: While smooth at cruising speeds, high-frequency vibrations ("buzzing") can be felt through the bars and pegs when pushed past 8,000 RPM.
-
- No Fuel Gauge: The dashboard lacks a fuel gauge, providing only a low-fuel warning light; most riders rely on the trip meter.
-
- Soft Front End: The 41mm forks are comfortable for city riding but dive significantly under hard braking, lacking the poise of a true sportbike.
