PROS

RR-Derived Engine: Uses a detuned 599cc inline-four from the CBR600RR, prioritizing smooth midrange over top-end speed.
Weather Protection: The half-fairing and 2-position adjustable windscreen provide excellent wind protection for commuting.
Ergonomic Flexibility: Features a 3-position adjustable seat (770mm–800mm) and adjustable handlebars for a tailored fit.
High Reliability: As the final year of the carbureted PC38 generation, the mechanicals are exceptionally refined and bulletproof.

CONS

Carbureted: Lacks the crisp throttle response and "easy start" nature of the 2008+ fuel-injected models.
No Fuel Gauge: Like previous years, you only get a warning light, requiring you to monitor the trip meter.
Soft Suspension: The non-adjustable forks are tuned for comfort and can feel "wallowy" if pushed hard in corners.
Weight: At 219kg (wet), it feels heavier than many modern 600cc bikes when parking or maneuvering.
